知的財産分野に転向する前には、オハイオ州立大学にて化学工学の博士号を取得しました。博士論文研究は、米国国立衛生研究所(NIH)の神経疾患·脳卒中研究所にて行いました。博士論文は、TIRF顕微鏡法、質量分析法、in vitro再構成アッセイを含む、様々な手法を用いて、微小管細胞骨格における翻訳後修飾(PTM)の特性評価に関するものでした。マギル大学にて化学工学の学士号を取得しています。
