Megan Doughty is a Member at the firm. She focuses her practice on patent prosecution and client counseling involving a wide range of technologies, including medical devices, semiconductors, ceramics, polymers, optical films, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics. Megan has considerable experience in all aspects of U.S. and foreign patent prosecution, including patent application drafting in a variety of technology areas, and she has successfully briefed and argued many appeals at the USPTO Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). Megan also counsels clients in developing and managing their patent portfolios, and provides infringement and validity opinions.
Megan is part of the firm’s mentorship program for new attorneys. As a mentor, Megan supervises new attorneys and provides hands-on training to develop their patent prosecution and client counseling skills.
Prior to joining the firm, Megan worked at another intellectual property law firm, where she prepared and prosecuted applications in the fields of pharmaceutical and chemical compositions.
