John Radi is a Member of the firm and serves on the firm's Executive Committee. He has been with the firm since 2006 and focuses his practice primarily in the areas of patent prosecution, opinions and client management across a wide range of technologies, including automotive, aerospace, power tools, and semiconductor manufacturing. John has successfully briefed and argued numerous appeals before the USPTO Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) and has worked on a number of litigation matters and post grant review proceedings.

John counsels and supports clients in developing and managing their patent portfolios. In this regard, he regularly assists clients with infringement and validity opinions, due diligence and licensing, and he has spent significant time abroad, including a three-month trip to Japan to work directly with a number of the firm’s clients on important patent matters. John has also lectured extensively on a number of topics and provided seminars about U.S. IP law and practice in Japan and Europe.

Before practicing as a lawyer, John worked as an Examiner at the USPTO, examining nuclear and aerospace technologies. John also has prior industry experience as a product design engineer for a fiber optic test equipment manufacturer, and in the U.S. Navy as a nuclear engineer. John is also an avid motorcycle enthusiast.
