Ed Walker is Senior Counsel with the firm. He has been with the firm since 1984, and was a Member and served on the firm's Executive Committee from 1991-2013. Ed's practice has included litigation, patent prosecution, opinions and licensing in the mechanical, electrical and computer science fields, involving such technologies as precision measurement, automotive products and systems, semiconductor fabrication, mobile digital devices, RFID transponders, gas turbine engines, heavy duty machinery, and sports equipment, among many others.

Ed has served as lead counsel and otherwise in numerous litigations before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, many U.S. District Courts throughout the country, the U.S. International Trade Commission, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, and the USPTO Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), and has briefed matters before the U.S. Supreme Court. Ed has also regularly traveled on behalf of the firm throughout the United States, Japan, Europe and China, for meetings with clients, negotiations with litigation opponents, and lectures to practitioners and professional groups.

Before joining the firm, Ed served for six years as a trial and appellate attorney in the Office of the Ohio Attorney General, and then as a Patent Examiner with the USPTO. Ed also represents U.S. military veterans pro bono before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
