Chris Brown is a Member of the firm and is the Managing Partner of the firm's office in St. Louis, Missouri.  He has been with the firm since 1994.  Chris focuses his practice primarily on patent prosecution in a wide range of chemical and mechanical technologies, including copiers and toners, automotive technologies, gas turbine engines, various fabric and fiber technologies, and pharmaceuticals.  Chris has considerable experience in drafting patent applications, conducting Examiner interviews, responding to Office Actions, prosecuting reissue applications, conducting ex parte and inter partes reexaminations, and briefing and arguing appeals before the USPTO Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).  In addition, Chris regularly assists clients with infringement and validity opinions, and due diligence.

Chris has nearly 30 years of intellectual property experience, having worked as an Examiner at the USPTO examining patent applications in the chemical arts prior to joining the firm.  Before beginning his career in intellectual property, Chris worked at a coatings manufacturer assisting in the research and development of new paints and coatings.
