Jacob Stern is a Patent Agent at the firm. Jacob has significant experience with patent prosecution and examination for a wide range of devices and their processes of manufacture, including the fields of semiconductor devices and systems, electron multipliers, organic light emitting devices, liquid crystal displays, pumps, turbo engines, illumination devices, spark plugs, solid state devices, phosphorescent and fluorescent materials, printed circuitry and vehicle lighting and braking systems.
Jacob started his intellectual property career as a patent examiner in 2009 at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, where his work focused on examination of utility patents in the area of optics. Jacob also has considerable technical experience in the areas of experimental physics, material science, aerospace, electrical and mechanical engineering. Prior to attending graduate school, Jacob worked as a scientific researcher studying neutrinos. While an undergraduate, he interned with Fermi Lab and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
